Teenage year is a very dreadful and challenging year to parents.It has disgraced great numbers of parents due to shameful and shocking behaviour of their children at this stage of life.You will notice children at this stage started:disobey,not mind parents,be arrogant,stealing,untimely pregnancy,keeping bad friends,participate in robbery, and all sort of things. What even inflamed the situation now compared with what we had before is,technological advancement and some other inventions imported into our system,many crimes are being perpetrated now on the media.things have dramatically changed.Teenagers have hugely ventured into those criminal acts that were very rear or,not even in existence before.In this great article,I'm suggesting five best,and proven techniques if adopted by parents,our teenagers year will record new and tremendous success.
1.Teach them word of God:From my experience and findings,most parents have ignorantly and woefully failed to teach their children God's word which is the foundation of their problems.Failure to seek divine assistance in how to parent our teenagers indirectly means we are good enough to handle our children without God's assistance. If we can from the initial stage started planting the words of God into their mind, surely they will have a good and future.
Let there be morning devotional service before anything else each day, where word of God and prayer will be a cake to be shared within members of the family presided over by the family head.If we allow word of God to be the bedrock of our teenagers upbringing,no any storm of societal vices can blow in the nearest future and shake our teenagers.
2. Let your teenagers be loved.If our teenagers are loved,they will be communicated with periodically,you will come closer to them,advise,monitor,feed,wine and dine,play,joke,share experience with them.If you put them in a loving environment,you will see their life yielding good and prolific fruits.This will now becomes a viral joy that will extend to you as a parent,you will now happy and have rest of mind even if you are not with them.
In a situation where opposite is the case,that is where all sorts of problems erupt.A teenager that lacks good parental care,love,control,advice,monitoring,education,guide,and experience will always run wild.These are the foundations of the problems of many teenagers.And the worse part of it that,it has a viral effect which will always affect the whole family and our society entirely.
3. Be a good role model:Some parents ignorantly instill their bad behaviours into the systems of their teenagers by doing those wrongful things even in the presence of their children,you 're telling them to do what you have done.You parents are the closest to them therefore,whatever you do will always be imitated by them.The language you speak, will be spoken by them,the food you eat, will be eaten by them,the song they hear from you will be also sing by them,the movie you watch will also be watch by them also.Therefore,if you want a future you will be proud of,you must be mindful of whatever you do in their presence.your deeds are sample to theirs,they are watching you like their best movies therefore,shun those dirty behaviours while they are there.
There was a man in my village in the olden days,this man used to go to another person's farm to steal yam.One day,as he was going,he carried one of his sons along,when they reached the farm,he tasked the son to keep on watching a particular direction in case of anybody coming,he should cough to alert him.Unfortunately for him,there were many narrow routes that led to this farm.suddenly the owner of the farm bust out from unfocused direction that was how they were caught.What do you expect from this son tomorrow? You can see how bad attitude is being transmitted to teenagers life.
4. Good Education: Nobody is a monopoly of wisdom,many children with different characters.A technique or style used to parent Mr.A successfully may be useless to Mr.B's system. therefore, at this juncture,parent must try to tap from another person's expertise to help them on how to parent their teenagers successfully using many techniques and style. 5.Try to know your children friends.This has helped me on different occasions.No matter how good a character is,it will always be dented by bad keeping bad friends.An adage says:"When you show me your friend;I 'll know the type of person you be" Bad behaviour goes viral more than smallpox or typhoid fever.Therefore when their friends are known to you,you know the next action to take, whether to leave or, you separate them.If chaff is not quickly sort out from the wheat,it is very dangerous.
